EUROPEAN REPLACEMENT TYRES SALES INCREASE IN Q2

The European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturers’ Association (ETRMA) published European tyre replacements sales of its Members for the second quarter of 2018.
Sales of replacement passenger car tyres for the second quarter improved by 5% to 49,154,000 units as against 46, 617,000 units in the same quarter of last year. The association’s members’ replacement truck and bus tyres sales reported a 10% increase to 2,252,000 units in the Q22018. Sales of scooter and motorcycle spiked 3% to 2,636,000 units inQ22018 from 2,553,000 units in Q22017.
However, sales of agri tyres fell 10% to 340,000 units in the second quarter of 2018. The association members’ sales of agri tyres were reported 376,000 units in Q22017.
