Trelleborg’s TM1060 Wins ‘Ag Tire of the Year’ Award in Spain

Trelleborg Wheel System's new TM1060 range with Progressive Traction technology  was awarded the " Agricutural Tire of the Year 2016" award in Spain.

Neumáticos y Mecánica Rápida organizes the award to recognize “outstanding contributions to the agricultural industry in terms of innovation, performance and respect for the environment,” according to Trelleborg.

The TM1060 range offers a high performance solution for new generations of tractors and features an extra wide footprint to improve farm productivity and crop yield without harming the soil, while the ProgressiveTraction technology boosts traction, the tiremaker said.

Additionally, the tire’s increased sidewall flexibility allows for low soil compaction without affecting the tire’s strength, and the sidewall design helps lower rolling resistance, fuel consumption and emissions, Trelleborg adds.

According to the tiremaker, the TM1060 can also operate at extremely low pressure, with the typical aspect ratio of a 60 series, and the tire offers a higher load capacity compared tires in the same size with standard technology.
