Vipal Rubber Signs Joint Venture Agreement

Vipal Rubber has signed a joint venture agreement with Spanish company Mezcla Caucho to allow Vipal brand hot tire retreading products to be manufactured in Europe.

Located in Valencia, Spain, Vipal Europe will be responsible for selling the products produced.

The partnership will focus on the production of non-vulcanized rubber strips in the city of Aspe and will be Vipal’s first production line built outside of Brazil.

According to Vipal, the local production will “ensure more efficient service for a product line that is highly sensitive as a result of its short shelf life.”

“We have a very close relationship with Grupo Soledad [a tire company group] and this opportunity reinforces the existing synergy, with the goal of offering the market high-quality products with the responsiveness required to meet our clients’ needs,” said Leandro Rigon, Vipal director of international business.

The agreement was officially signed during the Reifen trade show held in May.
