Goodyear Reaches Out for Asia Pacific Unit Chief

Goodyear has hired Chris Delaney as president of its Asia Pacific business unit. He joined the company today, and assumes full responsibility for the business unit on Jan. 1, 2016.

Delaney comes to Goodyear after four years as CEO of Goodman Fielder Ltd., the largest public food company in Australia and New Zealand. Before that, he spent seven years with Campbell Soup Co., eventually becoming president of its Asia Pacific business. Prior to that, he spent 20 years with Procter & Gamble Co.

Daniel Smytka, president of Goodyear’s Asia Pacific business since 2011, will work with Delaney on the transition before moving to another executive post reporting to chairman and CEO Rich Kramer.
