Michelin Pilots New Mobile Service in N.C.

Michelin North America his offering consumers a new program,  Michelin OnSite, that allows a customer to choose a time and place for Michelin to install new tires.

Michelin OnSite is currently a market test limited to the Raleigh-Durham, N.C., area.

The Michelin OnSite program was developed a part of the global R&D organization to identify and test new business models for Michelin at the Group level, a Michelin spokesperson told Tire Review.

Using the program, customers first purchase their tires online, by phone, or live chat. After a customer has purchased tires, an installation appointment can be made at a convenient time and location. Michelin will meet the customer at the location and installation time to install the tires.
