RDH Tire Founding Partner Dies

Homer Huskins, a founding partner of RDH Tire & Retread Co., died July 22. He was 85.


 

Huskins was born in McDowell County, N.C., and was a graduate of Berea College in Kentucky, as well as a U.S. Army veteran.

 

Huskins worked at Brad Ragan Inc., formerly Carolina Tire Co., for 40 years. In 1985, Goodyear acquired controlling interest of the company and in 1987, Huskins launched RDH Tire & Retread Co., in Cleveland, N.C., with Brad Ragan and Don Dodson.

 

Preceding him in death was his wife Beulah Huskins. Huskins leaves two daughters and many grandchildren.
