Bridgestone Metalpha Promotes President

Bridgestone Metalpha U.S.A. has promoted Bruce Johnson to president and CEO. Johnson previously served as plant manager and executive vice president for the company.

Johnson replaces Yoshiaki Yamada who has retired.
Johnson has been with BMU for 24 years and served as plant manager for Bridgestone’s LaVergne Plant in Rutherford County, Tenn., as well as Bridgestone’s manufacturing facility in Warren County, Tenn. He earned an associate degree in computer science technology from Gadsden State Community College and a bachelor’s degree in management and human resources from Trevecca Nazarene University.
"With extensive management experience in the manufacturing sector, Bruce is highly esteemed in the industry and a proven leader,” said Yoshiaki Yamada. “Bruce’s added knowledge and understanding of Bridgestone operations solidifies his leadership and management talents which will lead the company toward continued success.”
