Weifang Special Steel Newly Increased 800-thousand Tire Wire Capacity

Recently, the project of 800-thousand tons/year tire bead wire metal products invested by Weifang Special Steel Group started. It is one of Shandong Province Key Projects of Replacing Old Growth Drivers with New Ones.

The project, covering an area of 1,006 mu, including building area of over 586 thousand m2, is built in two phases. During the first phase, it will reach the annual production capacity of 400 thousand tons, including 300 thousand tons of bead wire and 100 thousand tons of steel cord. Upon the completion of the whole project, it will become the second largest tire framework material manufacturing base and the largest tire bead wire manufacturing base in China.
