Michelin Expands X One Line

Michelin North America has rolled out a new super-wide trailer tire for regional operations – the 455/55R22.5 Michelin X One Multi Energy T.

The SmartWay-verified Michelin X One Multi Energy T complements the tiremaker’s previously launched 445/50R22.5 size. The new addition to the X One family delivers a reduction in irregular wear, increased fuel economy and allows fleets to carry 700lbs. more freight than dual applications, Michelin said.

Additionally, the Michelin X One Multi Energy T Pre-Mold retread is now available in two sizes – 375/425 and 385/435. The retread is SmartWay-verified and features advanced compounds for increased rolling resistance as well as microsipes and a solid shoulder to fit irregular wear, Michelin said.

The Michelin X One Multi Energy T replaces the existing Michelin X One XTE products, the tiremaker said.
