TIA Board Elects Secretary

During its recent biannual meeting, the Tire Industry Association board of directors elected David Martin as its new secretary. Martin will begin his one-year term on Nov. 2, 2015.

Following his term as secretary, Martin will advance to board vice president, president and then past president.

Currently, Martin is director of sales, tire supply and specialty rubber for American Tire Distributors. He has more than 30 years experience in the automotive aftermarket. Prior to working with ATD, he owned Snap-on Tools and Cornwell Tools dealerships and worked in field service repair for automotive equipment.

Martin has served on the TIA Board for the past three years and is chairman of the training and education committee.
