Pirelli Expands Partnership with Rosneft

Pirelli & C. SpA and Rosneft have extended their existing commercial and marketing partnership. The extended partnership helps strengthen Pirelli’s commercial presence in Russia and allows Rosneft to increase its portfolio of products at its service stations.

The new deal, signed by the two parties during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, calls for the development of new Pirelli sales’ points in Rosneft service stations, as well as the continued implementation of the project to create a concept Pirelli flagship tire center. The deal also covers possibility of opening mobile tire-changing stations within Rosneft service stations and research into the potential joint branding of driving schools, according to a press release.

Pirelli and Rosneft entered into marketing and commercial agreements in December 2012. Since the two companies have been strengthening their relationship.  In 2014, the pair entered into an agreement to open 200 Pirelli retail outlets at Rosneft service stations by 2019.
