Elgi Rubber Purchases CRS

India-based Elgi Rubber Co. acquired retreading equipment manufacturer American Equipment Manufacturing Inc., known in the industry as Cincinnati Retreading/Reclamation Systems (CRS). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 1975 as a division of American Equipment Manufacturing, CRS produces tread buffers, hub assemblies and expanding rim assemblies.

Elgi plans on expanding CRS’s plant capacity at its Fairfield, Ohio, facility.
