McCarthy Tire Acquires Commercial Center

Pennsylvania-based McCarthy Tire Service is expanding its operations into Syracuse, N.Y., with the purchase of Commercial Truck Tire Center.

With this expansion, McCarthy Tires’s operation grows to 45 service centers, seven Bandag retread shops and one off-the-road retread facility in seven states.

"Commercial Truck Tire Center has an excellent reputation in the Syracuse market and their employees exhibit the high quality of customer care that has long been a McCarthy standard,” said John D. McCarthy, Jr., president of McCarthy Tire Service.

McCarthy will continue to operate at Commercial Truck Tire Center’s facility and will retain the company’s employees.

McCarthy Tire stated the East Syracuse location will provide commercial tire sales and service. The site will be a part of McCarthy Tire’s 24-hour commercial roadside assistance program.
