Giti Adds New Line Haul Trailer Tire

Giti Tire (USA)’s newest GT Radial tire, the GTL922 FS premium line haul trailer tire, was designed specifically for North America, the tiremaker said.

The Smartway-verified GT Radial GTL922 FS features a four straight groove design for enhanced driving stability and effective water flow as well as sipes and microsipes on the ribs for wet performance, Giti said. Additionally the tire has a diamond-shaped groove bottom design that prevents stone retention and casing damage, the tiremaker said.

The tire also benefits from three advanced technologies, according to Giti:

• Equal Force Casing enables an optimal tire footprint and equal force distribution for better control and regular tread wear.

• Giti Cap Base Design helps the tire with wear resistance while insulating the casing from heat build up.

• Duo Filler Technology is a combination of two bead fillers to help with ride and handling as well as durability.

   

The GT Radial GTL922 FS is available in four sizes: 11R22.5, 295/75R22.5, 11R24.5 and 285/75R24.5 (all 14 ply).

The GTL922 FS was developed we extensive research efforts from Giti Tire’s R&D center in Ohio, the tiremaker said.
