APOLLO TYRE’S KERALA PLANTS RESUMING OPERATIONS POST FLOODS

Apollo Tyres’ manufacturing plants in Perambra and Kalamassery, in Kerala, where production operations were affected to due to heavy rains and floods, are now nearing normalcy.

The company said the natural calamity reasoned to around  3000 metric tonnes, but consequential loss of profit is ‘not significant’. There is damage to equipment or property, and all the employees of the company are safe and secure.

The company’s insurance policy covers the production loss. The company is in the process of assessing the exact quantum of loss, and the same will be claimed from the insurance company in due course.
