Preliminary anti-dumping duties for certain passenger and light truck tires imported from China went into effect Jan 27th, 2015. This result would impair China's tire sales in U.S. market.
With the ruling published in Federal Register, manufacturers and importers of Chinese passenger and light truck tires must pay anti-dumping duty rates ranging from 19.17% to 87.99% before adjustment, retroactive to 90 days prior to the published date.
The department of commerce has requested comments on the ruling, and intertested parties have 30 days from the published date to request a public hearing on the issue.
According to department of commerce, the agency will make his final determination on anti-dumping no later than 135 days after Jan 27, and the final determination on material injury from the ITC will be due 45 days after that.
